REVISION TIPS TO HELP YOU SUCCEED!

As it now exam season and all the stress is piling up on us, I thought I would share with you some of my revision tips I like to use, and see if they could be of any use to you guys too! So, If you want know any basic tips on how to revise, then just carry on reading...

TRY NOT TO STRESS

I know this may sound stupid, of course its a stressful time and you're bound to stress but, make sure you are taking regular breaks, drinking plenty of water and snacks beside you, as you need this fuel for your brain to keep all that information going in.

POST- IT NOTES ARE YOUR BEST FRIEND

Write down key bits of information on sticky notes or post it notes (whatever you like to call them), and just stick them everywhere. Yes, I mean literally any place in the house you can find. From your toilet door, to your bedroom mirror. That way, whilst you're peeing, or even just getting ready in the morning, you'll be able to see and feel like 'ah, i know that key bit of information'. Sounds a little crazy I know, but trust me it helps!

WATCH REVISION VIDEOS

With technology expanding and many textbooks out the door now, you can find so many revision videos online especially on YouTube! Some channels which really helped me were 'Khan Academy' and 'Ted- Talks'.

LISTEN TO VOICE RECORDINGS

A friend of mine suggested this one actually. He said listening back to what I say regarding a certain topic is really helpful, as your brain processes that information from another individual, it somehow seems to go in better....

DON'T JUST READ, WRITE TOO!

When you have a lot to take in, you get carried away with just reading and re- reading your notes or even textbooks. But, the main part of exams is the whole writing process and how you word things. Make sure your spelling is correct and that what you are saying makes sense!

PEER TEACH WITH OTHERS

Teaching somebody else in your family or even a friend regarding the topic can help a lot. It let's you see where you are at with a certain topic and enables you to know what key bits of information you may have missed out when teaching your peer, so making sure you are getting every point included for those extra marks.

I hope these revision tips are useful. Just remember to take breaks and let your mind relax and de-stress too, by doing other things. Don't get too indulged that you panic and don't feel well!

Good luck with anybody sitting any exams these upcoming months, I am sure you'll all be amazing at them. Have faith in yourself and remember, you can do it!
