THE BATTLE OF THE PRIMERS • BENEFIT VS COLLECTION

Hello there & if you are a returning reader, then welcome back!

In today's post I will be comparing a high-end primer to a cheap and affordable drugstore dupe. You can get just as good of a result with a drugstore primer without breaking the bank! As not many people are able to afford high- end product's all the time, I thought I would put two primer's that I have to the test, both claiming to minimise the appearance of pore's!

The Benefit Pore-fessional primer is talked about a lot in the beauty guru community and I decided to purchase their mini version to see if it was as good as everybody said it was. I also have a primer from Collection. This is their 'Prime & Ready' mattifying pore minimizer which is also powered by witchhazel.

The packaging of the Benefit Primer is definitely a winner, with the cute design & text. However, the Collection Primer is a simple & sleek design which make's it just as good.

Both primer's have a similar consistency of silicone and a gel like formula. They both apply very well on to the face and gave me a smooth flawless base to work on.

Personally, I think there is nothing bad about either of these primer's and that the Collection primer is a definite dupe for half the price! Both these primer's can be purchased at Boot's & Superdrug store's and also online as well.  The Collection Primer I purchased was just £4.99 & the Benefit Primer was a travel sized mini that I bought for £10.50. You can also mix & match with other Benefit mini's at Boot's. Both can be purchased by clicking on the link I have embedded.

Overall, both primer's are just fantastic to work with and, if you want a cheaper alternative you now know where to look!

I hope you guy's enjoyed reading this blogpost and, I would love if you could maybe leave a comment down below. What do you think of these primer's? Have you tried them before?

Thank you & goodbye!

  1. I love the benefit primer, it's got such a silky formula and finish, but it is far too expensive for my practically non-existent budget so I will definitely have to look into purchasing the collection one! Thanks for the lovely post!
