MAC VS MAKEUP REVOLUTION • CRUELTY FREE DUPE ALERT

Welcome back!
In today's post I will be telling you about a possible drugstore dupe, of the Mac lipstick which is in the shade 'Velvet Teddy'. Mac lipsticks usually retail for £15.50 however, this lipstick from Makeup Revolution is just £3.00! Not only is it cheap, but also cruelty free as well! It would be great for anybody who is a beginner and only just getting in to makeup, but also for anybody that is trying to be budget friendly, and not wanting to spend too much of a fortune on a lipstick.

The lipstick from Makeup Revolution come's in this beautiful rose gold package which is the main reason I was attracted to it instantly. It is in the shade 'Inclination'. If you can't already tell, I am a huge lover of anything that is rose gold, hence why my blogger name is 'roseygoldbox'. The shape is definitely similar to the Mac lipstick as it is also shaped like a bullet.

It definitely looks a lot more darker then the Mac 'Velvet Teddy' however, Makeup Revolution do also have some other shade's in their 'Iconic Matte Nude Lipstick's' range which could maybe be of a better match! I decided to just write about this one though, as it was the closest match I had.

The formula of both lipstick's is completely different. The Mac one definitely feel's more of a velvety soft finish and doesn't feel too thick on the lip's or drying. The Makeup Revolution one however, feel's a lot more thicker on the lip's and has slightly more of a drying texture to it. But honestly, I feel like the Mac one come's off easily when I drink water throughout the day, but the drugstore dupe stay's on longer! The Makeup Revolution lipstick can be purchased by clicking here but, also at Superdrug store's. The Mac lipstick can be purchased by clicking here but, is available at many Mac counters in Debhenams, Harvey Nichols & Selfridge's.

Overall, everybody is different and may have a similar or even separate view on this. Please respect that.

That's all for today's post guy's! I hope you found this helpful. Will any of you be buying this drugstore dupe?

  2. I love the look of MAC products but them not being cruelty free definitely sets me back from actually buying anything from their collections. I love Makeup Revolution so hearing of this possible dupe made me really happy. Even though you mentioned the Makeup Revolution is a little drier, I'm going to go out, buy it and try find a way to make it less drying :) thank you so much for the post

  7. Once I thought about things like: why such information is for free here? Because when you write a book then at least on selling a book you get a percentage. Thank you and good luck on informing people more about it… cruelty free makeup brands
