Life can feel so overwhelming most days, and lately I have been trying to use these mechanisms to control my anxiety and maintain some balance. I thought why not share some of my bullet points with you. In no way, shape, or form am I a mental health expert, however, it is all a work in progress I guess!
• BE MINDFUL OF WHAT'S GOING ON
• CONTROL AND CONTAIN
• FOCUS ON YOU
• BREATHING EXCERCISES
• DON'T LET THE SITUATION CONTROL YOU
• CHANGE IS DIFFICULT
• PAUSE AND GIVE YOUR BODY TIME
• WRITE YOUR THOUGHTS DOWN, CROSS THEM OUT
JUST REMEMBER, WHEN OUR MIND PRECIEVES THREAT, ITS LOGIC DISSPPEARS....

These are some great control mechanisms.
ReplyDeleteWhen I did my Mental Health First Aid course, a few of these were there to help support someone in distress. Breathing is especially important.
Great post!

Hi, lovely! I totally love this list & it's really nice of you to share it with us! With mental health getting more and more talked about in social media and on blogs as well, I think it's so important for us to be sensitive about other people's feelings & what they're going through. This is such an amazing post! xx
