HOW TO BE A GOOD LGBTQ+ ALLY🌈✨

What does being an ally mean to YOU? Is it just a source of support, or something else altogether? We all need each other so why not come together this pride month and support your fellow LGBTQ+ friends or family.

Even though it should be accepted every month and all year round for people to love who they want or be who they want to be, this month is key to raise awareness and make people see things on a whole other level. Ever since I have grown up as a child my dad had always taught me to live & let live, regardless of what we may or may not believe in...

So, here are just a fee pin points I think are important when it comes to being a good LGBTQ+ ally.

R E S P E C T

No matter who anybody is, they deserve respect at all times anyways! Use the correct terminology as well, so don't just throw words around such as 'fag' or 'tranny'.

A C C E P T A N C E

Make sure you are accepting them for who they are so that this way they are allowing them self to open up to you more. Its okay if you don't understand it, just be respectful and maybe even do some of your own research too.

S U P P O R T

Regardless of what sexuality or gender your friend or family member, or even anybody around you is, support them and be there for them, making them feel welcome and accepted!

JUST BEING NICE IN GENERAL

Generally speaking, these are all things we are supposed to be doing in everyday life anyways  but it seems to be like society is forgetting basic things like this leading to a deterioration in other peoples mental health because of it as well.

AND REMEMBER, You can always go to your local town or city annual gay pride and have a good time with them there too!

  1. You’re absolutely right! These action should be practiced daily! No one deserves to be mistreated due to their preference of lifestyle and sadly that’s the foundation of our societies 😔 very informative post and I think it was totes worth the read! 💕💕
