MAINTAINING MINDFULLNESS & EMPOWERING YOURSELF!

When life gives us lemons, we tend to forget our minds and how to look after ourselves throughout the difficult times. To maintain mindfullness and be empowering is such a beautiful yet difficult thing and, here I am sharing my own tips on how to do so!

SAVOUR LIFE & LIVE IN THE MOMENT
During this summer heatwave especially, why not just take some time out to yourself and spend it with your family by living in the moment WITHOUT having your phone out, documenting everything via snapchat or instagram stories? It can seem hard sometimes with all the pressure but, it will make you feel much more realistically there whilst savouring the moment / memory.

TAKE TIME DOING WHAT MAKES YOUR SOUL HAPPY...
Whether its going for a walk, or simply just sitting in the garden or a park reading a book, or even watching a vlog? Have a nice little pamper day to yourself maybe, just look after yourself and do what makes you feel content!

WHAT CONTROLS YOUR MIND, CONTROLS YOUR LIFE, LET IT GO!
All those thoughts running around inside our heads can seem to just go around in circles sometimes. Some people hate the term oh just let it go, but honestly, slowly but surely, you will...

APPRECIATE EVERY LITTLE THING
It's the little things that count they say. Try and look at the positives in life and erase the negatives. Let go of toxic people and environments which you may not feel comfortable being in.

LET EVERY SITUATION BE WHAT IT IS, NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT SHOULD BE
If its meant to be then we should just let it be, right? Don't force anything upon yourself or beg for anyone to stay. Just go with the flow...

WHEN YOU'RE TIRED DON'T QUIT, JUST REST
If you can't complete a goal or a certain task you wished to achieve by the end of the day that doesn't mean you've failed. Its okay to take a break!

A LITTLE PROGRESS EACH DAY CREATES BIG RESULTS
Just remember, every little achievement add's up! Keep going and you will get there eventually. Everyone works at different pace's so don't get caught up with the competitive crowd, just do you boo.

I hope you feel more empowered now and maybe do something nice for yourself or someone else today. What are your tips? Leave a lovely comment down below letting me know! x

  1. I really like the vibe of this post! I always write down at least one happy thing that happened on the day, and try to never let the smaller things I can't change bother me :)

  2. Love the idea behind this post! Will definitely be taking note of your tips here, I did sort of take a break recently and enjoyed spending time with my family and boyfriend but just the guilt is a bit annoying or feeling like you letting people down by not being too involved! Thanks for sharing your tips :)

  3. I like what you said about progress being a slow process, I tend to work really well when I break a goal up into small parts to achieve it over a length of time

  5. The best way I’ve found to chill out is with a nice bath either reading blog posts or watching YouTube videos. Loving your goal advice as well, I’m terrible for thinking I’m a failure if I don’t complete my goal list for the day.

  6. "When tired, take a rest don't quit.."
I love that advice! Definitely something I am going to keep in mind. Lately I have been wanting to quit on a lot of my goals. This post was helpful.

  7. Spending as little time on my computer and phone has been a tiny bit difficult this summer but it’s also so relaxing spending time with family and not constantly checking my phone every few minutes (well more like every few seconds). The treat yo self days to doing what makes you happy is honestly the absolute best.

Thinking positively really helped shaped my outlook on life - sometimes I’ll have a few thoughts that are negative but having positive thoughts most of the time definitely makes everything so much better.

YES to when you’re tired don’t quit, just rest. Give yourself the time you need to recharge and then start back up again - that feeling of accomplishing a goal is honestly unmatched!

Positivity is key! I try and look at a positive from a negative and accept what is as it is...

  10. Mindfulness is something I'm really trying to get on top of at the moment, I've started doing more meditation and I love it. Having anxiety, it's so hard for me to live in the moment and not worry about upcoming things.

  11. This post supports everything I love about mindfulness. I recently finished a course on it. I’m glad I did because since being made redundant I have called on it more and more.

I write one positive thing a day in my bullet journal which is lovely to look back on over the years.
