VALENTINE'S, GALENTINES, TAKE IT AS Y'ALL PLEASE!

What's so special about Valentine's day? An ancient tradition going back to the Catholic calendar of saints, in which love is celebrated. But now, in this modern day and age, we are surrounded by so many social pressures of having to do something or be with someone on that day?! Well I say urm no to that....

Personally, I see love as something that should be celebrated everyday anyways. Love, peace and harmony in this world let's say for example. We seem to be lacking in that lately....

So this Valentine's day, don't be pressured or feel left out, lonely, or even just a general waste of space having nothing to do, because there's lots to do! For many it's just another normal day, for some they will be celebrating with the loves of their lives, however, girls and boys, you can still come together and celebrate and treat one another! Whether that is just chilling on your own, having some me time and ordering pizza and beer, or waiting till the day after Valentine's and treating yourself to the half price chocolate and heart themed food, you bet I'll be getting it?! Haha....

Last year I wrote about ideas on what you can get up to with your girl pals etc and I also managed to do a giveaway which was a success. I have been lacking recently with blogposts due to uni life and work taking, BUT she is back on a roll now so don't worry!

I hope everyone has an amazing week and LOVES THEMSELVES this valentine's day, regardless of what you are up to. You matter, regardless if you have a partner or not!

Until I write again, adios x

  1. I completely agree with you! You don't have to be in a relationship to enjoy Valentines Day & you also don't have to celebrate Valentines Day just because you are in a relationship! It's completely up to the choice of the individual! x

  3. I think people started to see that Valentine's day doesn't need to mean that you have to spend a lot or be in a relationship to celebrate it. I see it more as a holiday of love and you can express that to your friends, family, partner and ultimately to yourself.
